In 2025 JDPH implemented in three states, reaching fourteen communities directly and operating six digital skills hubs. Insecurity in Gwoza LGA required the suspension of activities in two planned communities, which remain a priority for 2026.

Food Security and Livelihoods
Helping households in ten communities grow more, earn more and depend less on costly external inputs.
- 160 trained on dry season farming with improved seeds, pumps and hoses
- 160 household micro gardens established for nutritious vegetables
- 190 farmers trained on organic manure and safe bio-inputs
- 10 Village Savings & Loan Associations formed with start-up grants
- 90 people trained on briquette production; 9 centres supported
- 1,000 seedlings planted across 8 communities

Peacebuilding and Human Rights
Strengthening the local structures that keep the peace, and raising awareness of the rights that protect every citizen.
- 150 stakeholders trained on inter-faith and inter-ethnic dialogue
- 100 members trained on Early Warning & Early Response; 10 peace committees formed
- 50 teachers and 102 students reached; 5 school peace clubs established
- 100 traditional, religious and political leaders engaged on human rights
- 1,020 participants reached through civic education campaigns

Protection and Safeguarding
Focused on the systems closest to survivors — the families and community structures first to notice harm and first to respond.
- 226 men and women engaged on gender equality and GBV prevention
- 97 stakeholders trained on child rights, GBV, PSEA and referral pathways
- 25 staff, volunteers and vendors trained on safeguarding
- Protection manuals, stickers, banners and posters produced and distributed

Emergency Flood Response
When the July 2025 floods submerged homes in Yola South and Hawul LGAs, JDPH delivered 100% of planned assistance within October.
- 792 households reached; 732 assessed by a MEAL-led rapid assessment
- 392 individuals received full NFI kits with hygiene promotion
- 240 households received ₦50,000 each — ₦12,000,000 in cash transfers
- 120 lactating mothers and elderly persons received nutrition support

Digital Inclusion and Skills
Six IT hubs across Southern Borno equip women, hard-to-reach youths and persons with disabilities for an inclusive digital future.
- 6,738 beneficiaries reached against a target of 4,221 — 160% of target
- 36 hub facilitators completed a Training of Trainers
- Digital literacy, social media marketing, e-commerce, cyber security & AI essentials
- Advocacy for domestication of national digital policies

Strengthening Our Systems
Investing in People
Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) ran through every stage of the programme cycle — from a ten-day baseline by 42 enumerators to post-distribution monitoring that now informs our 2026 planning.

Return to Gwoza
Restore implementation in Ajari Centre and Banyan Banki through a phased, security-aware approach the moment conditions allow.
Deepen Livelihoods
Sustain gains through strengthened extension follow-up, climate-smart agriculture, micro gardens and reinforced VSLA governance.
Consolidate Peace
Support peace committees, school peace clubs and early warning mechanisms with refresher sessions and structured reporting.
Grow Digital Inclusion
Expand step-down digital training at the six hubs and pursue advocacy roadmaps for state-level digital policy.
