Original cloth binding; covers and spine stamped; front cover and spine gilt stamped. All edges decorated with marbled spiral pattern; colors have faded. Black and gilt index tabs marking the start of each letter or section.
Measures 12” tall x 9” wide x 6” deep. Weighs nearly 17 pounds. Overall excellent condition for its age; see photos for details. First pages through p. xvi are wrinkled/creased. Edges are worn and frayed, especially along the bottom; binding is otherwise sound. Name label on front endpaper.
