Vintage Rebajes Copper Fish Brooch, Rare Costume Jewelry

Vintage Rebajes Copper Fish Brooch. This is not a new one, it is the old one, but unsigned. And it is large. Many are tiny, but this one is large at 2.5 inches. <br>Early Rebajes was unsigned. (later, small pieces were also unsigned) It is identical to other signed pieces we have seen.<br>A bit of wear from being worn, but in excellent condition overall. The pictures show a bit of verdigris, as expected with copper.<br>Excellent vintage condition, vintage patina, tight secure pin/clasp. This one still has a lot of the shine, as it has been stored away from air, so it has not tarnished as much as many.<br>These were made in different sizes, and an entire collection could be centered just on this fish- they are that different. He made earrings, and other pieces. It was also made in silver.<br>It has personality that only Frank Rebajes could create. He was brilliant, and his works are just now being recognized for the artwork that they are.<br>About 2 1/2" long.
