Vintage Heishi Necklace with Shell Disc & Turquoise Beads With Various Other Gemstones. Sterling Silver Ball Clasp.
Beautiful, handmade necklace from the 1970's. This gorgeous necklace is so unique. The disc beads are turquoise and onyx with metal thin separator discs. The tiny graduated beads are just beautiful in various different gemstones. Towards the clasp of the necklace, there is a round sterling silver bead pattern repeated on each side. The closure is a metal hook. Stunning piece of vintage Santo Domingo Pueblo Indian exquisite bead making.
The Santo Domingo Pueblo is located along the Rio Grande River and is less prominent than the Navajo, Hopi and Zuni Jewelry makers. They are known primarily for a type of necklace Heishe or Heishi Necklace.
