Vintage Chinese Embroidered Rank Badge, believed to be from the Qing Dynasty. This framed panel (known in Chinese as Buzi) features a black background with a scrolling floral border.
The center showcases a beautifully stitched bird, a symbol of rank for a civil official in the Qing Dynasty court. The bird has long tails and is facing down, surrounded by scattered flowers. The embroidery is on black satin/silk and displayed in a frame. A unique piece of Chinese history and art.
