Vintage 28" Handmade TURQUOISE Slab Nugget Necklace Southwest Native Old Mid Cen

Total weight (see photos) = 112 grams<br>36 stones<br>Length is 14" as tied <br>I am by no means an expert on turquoise but, as far as I can tell, and based on my research, this turquoise seems to be as about as 'natural' as it comes in jewelry.<br>Smallest piece: 1x2 cm<br>Some pieces in middle:<br>1.5x3 cm <br>2x2.5 cm<br>3x2 cm<br>Largest: 3.5x2.5 cm<br>Embedded in the matrix of many of the stones is iron pyrite or 'fools gold' flecks which are indicative of natural, genuine and true turquoise. A very desirable feature which gives it additional beauty, luster and matrix complexity. I tried to capture this as best as I could in the photo gallery.<br><br>I can not overstate enough how exquisite and extraordinary the color variance is that exists among these stones. I have looked at hundreds of stones in my research &amp; asked numerous sources for info &amp; although I haven't been able to determine their source w/certainty, I haven’t been able to find anything comparable in terms of dimension, complexity, variety and beauty.
