RARE Le Bambole di Arianna Porcelain Doll “Nine” Handmade In Italy<br>One of the first ones made. Incised on the back of head: "6A ARIANNA ITALIA"<br>Vintage<br>New with tag.<br>Doll was never displayed nor played with.<br>Approximately 12” tall<br>She was purchased in Milan in 1997.<br>She is a full body fine bisque porcelain doll. She is 5-way jointed (neck, shoulders and hips). She is identified by the porcelain hang tag with her name "Nine" on one side and "Le Bambole di Arianna" on the other - suspended from her delicate wrist by gold cord.<br>Her hair is made of Mohair and is covered with a lovely cap adorned with pearls. Her blue eyes are hand-painted glass. Her gorgeous and intricate outfit is made of the finest European materials, a tradition that goes back to the 1830s. She wears hand-crocheted slippers, pantalettes trimmed with lace and pink ribbons, an organza short sleeved slip beneath her long sleeved soft cotton dress and a bib, all of which are trimmed with Italian lace. <br>Just precious!
