Vintage print of “The Dinkey Bird” by Maxfield Parrish in an Art Deco frame. Illustration from Eugene Field's "Poems of Childhood" (1904).
The poem is about a bird in an amfalula tree, with gumdrops and taffy. The painting was commissioned by Edward Bok and later owned by Henry Russell Sage.
Print derived from a book considered on par with Alice In Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz. Captures the magical inner worlds of young people. 15 inches tall, 12 inches wide. Beautiful and important piece of art.
