Very Rare vintage chalkware-style figurines made in Mexico, featuring a romanticized rural couple. The man and woman each hold water jugs and stand among floral and rocky details, all finished in an aged bronze-gold patina. These unmarked figures (except for a clear “MEXICO” stamp on the base) are stylistically very similar to works by Marwal Industries Inc., known for producing chalkware sculptures during the mid-20th century. The craftsmanship, poses, and finish strongly resemble their genre-themed decor.
