Rare antique book: 20 Views of Worksop & the Dukery by Thomas Ratcliffe. A collection of lithographic prints visually capturing scenes from Worksop and the Dukeries area in Nottinghamshire, England. Worksop is near Sherwood Forest and known for its historical heritage. The Dukeries is known for estates and residences of Dukes of Newcastle, Portland, and others.
Thomas Ratcliffe was an artist known for landscapes in the northern and midlands parts of England. Lithographs printed by V. & S. Ltd.
This 120+ year old book shows normal wear. ~0.25 inch of the upper corner of title page is cut off. One page (four lithographs) is detached from stapled binding. See photos. Sold as-is.
