Artist: Rudolph Carl Gorman (Native American Navajo, 1932–2005).
Title: Navajo Mother in Supplication.
Date: 1966.
Medium: Lithograph.
Significance: This piece was Gorman's first foray into printmaking, created under the guidance of master printer José Sanchez in Mexico City. It depicts an intimate scene of a mother gently kissing an infant.
Edition: The image shows "A/P" which stands for Artist's Proof, indicating it's a special print outside the main numbered edition.
