This pipe vise uses gravity and friction to stop a pipe from sliding down into a well. Works on pipes 1 to 2 inches diameter, wells up to 8 inches diameter. It automatically brakes when the pipe moves down and releases when the pipe moves up. Hinge pin is removable so you can clamp it around the pipe.<br><br>We used it once to pull 90 feet of old galvanized pipe out of an abandoned water well and it worked perfectly. It doesn't lift the pipe, we used a mini excavator for that but a winch or t-post puller would work too. Has a few scratches from use.
