This is a vintage 1951 hardcover edition of Lee's Lieutenants, volume 3: Gettysburg to Appomattox by Douglas Southall Freeman. For a book of its age, it is in good condition. The dust jacket is faded on the spine and has some minor tears near the corners. It also includes a separate pamphlet with a topical index of the entire series. There are black and white illustrations interspersed with the text, and a large fold-out map inside the back cover. They really don't make books like they used to. A great addition to any American history buff's bookshelf.
