I sewed this Regency (Jane Austen) Era coat and matching bonnet from a 100% cotton, no-iron thrifted mens shirt. The coat has tiny real button holes with hand sewn buttons. I hand sewed the flowers on the bonnet from reclaimed silk and ribbon, and embellished with pearly beads. I sewed the dress from a 100% cotton fabric left from a larger project. The dress bodice is lined with silk and snaps up the back.
