Hardcover; Good++ to VG condition. 231 pages + 14 pages of adverts + 7 fold-out plates/diagrams at back; 7.5 x 5.5".
Navy blue cloth binding is tight & square. Minor rubbing, trace of soil, convex bow to covers, 1/4" corner bumps at top of each cover. Gold gilt vignette on front & all gold spine lettering crisp & intact. No fray or spine discolor.
Text block tight to binding; narrow spine gap prior to title page (minor). Neatly penned small owner name, dated Dec. 25, '88 with "Univ. of Pa" in top corner of title page - assume 1888.
Text is tight, clean, unmarked with very light toning. All plates intact & complete - bit of edge wear, but no tears. NOT ex-library. Handsome, well-preserved copy.
