They are distressed when purchased &amp; only look better the more worn in they become. I purchased these directly from Freebird &amp; they have been worn once. Since this style sold out so quickly i took a chance &amp; ordered 1 size down from my usual &amp; unfortunately they did not fit. They run true to size but for me (&amp; especially since they're not broken in yet), they seem a little narrow. I have noticed on others that once they are worn a few times they seem to open up better &amp; not be so stiff. These are amazing shoes &amp; i would love for someone to actually be able to wear them &amp; show them off.
