This shipment I just received exhibits a lot of characteristics that make cocobolo so desirable, like the amazing dark red/burgundy colors, line figure, as well as the tight grain and high density of slow growth. Due to CITES restrictions implemented last year, cocobolo has become very difficult to obtain. Cocobolo is one of the most popular of the rosewoods.
