Hand-Carved Statue of Hariti – Goddess of Motherhood, children and Fertility | Signed Balinese Art in Rare Coromandel Wood (ca. 1950–1970s)<br>This exquisite hand-carved statue depicts Hariti, child protector and goddess of fertility. Statue originates from the village of Mas in Bali, Indonesia, a region renowned for its master woodcarvers. Dated approximately to the 1950s–1970s, this piece is signed on the base:<br>"K. RODJA MAS BALI INDONESIA"—a testament to the skilled artisan behind its creation.<br><br>Hariti is a Buddhist and Hindu goddess associated with fertility and protection, particularly of children, having initially been a demoness who snatched children before being converted by the Buddha.
