Many soldiers used such a device to identify their belongings during the Civil War. <br>Also, sometimes used to stamp individual blocks on friendship quilts.<br>Very good condition for age.<br>Measures 2" L x 2-3/4" H x 1-1/4" W<br><br>Would make a great addition to any early sewing, textile-related, or Civil War collection.
