Antique 1916 US Capitol Washington DC reverse painted convex glass in gold frame. Good overall condition for its age. Marked with a copyright date of 1916 and signed Chicago Portrait Co.
The frame appears to be gesso over wood and has been repainted. Measures approximately 22” x 16”. Features a sticker on the bottom back with a handwritten note indicating it was from 1896 (likely inaccurate given the copyright date). Note some paint flaking and loss to the glass (see photos). AS-IS.
