Antique German Pocket Bible/Prayer Book, likely from the late 1800s. Handwritten inscription states, "May 24, 1891 First Holy Communion prayer book from cousin Anna in Germany."
Features a lock/clip to keep the book shut. Leather and metal construction with wear consistent with age and use. Worn attached ribbon bookmark and prayer card included. Binding is worn but still in good condition. A few pages have minor rips or folds. Cover has wear. Please see photos for condition detail. Book size is pocket size roughly 4 1/2" tall x 3" wide x 1 1/4" thick.
