14K yellow gold teardrop-shaped pendant with a delicate leaf, flower, and tendril design, a bezel-set round pearl in the center. Difficult to peg the exact time this was made, as it has design elements from the Victorian, Art Nouveau and Edwardian eras, but I believe it dates to the very early 1900s. The pearl is a fantastic color -- mauvy silver, with a fine luster. In excellent condition for its age with the exception of the bail (see the last photo). The thin sheet of gold appears to have been worn down by a fine chain, perhaps a long one, so the pendant swung, creating a sawing motion. !<br>14K gold Italian box chain with lobster claw clasp is in excellent condition.<br><br> Dimensions: 1 3/16 x 9/16 inch (3 x 1.3 cm). Pearl is 6 mm. Weight is 1.7 grams. Chain is 17 inches long, .5 mm wide. Weight is 2.6 grams.<br><br> Markings: 14K on pendant. 14K Italy 585 on chain.
