American Brillliant Crystal Glass Schooler rim cut Basket by Hawkes

This is Avery well known piece but little known of its style. Hawks was a very prominent crystal glass Company in USA. This is a time in the “Brilliance Period that was made later in that era. It has a widened handle for hand harrying. It’s made with (as he calls it Italigo Gracie’s) Grapes and a Flower (forgot that name) but they are hand cut by a Miter then cut by a cutter and so on the acid etching around them is done by hand and a lot x cross with cross hatching to he added handle. It’s a nice piece in Premium condition. Never out if the cabinet. It’s not huge it’s medium I believe. I will measure it and update the description but there are no chips cracks or damage of any kind. Straight out if cabinet. You may notice the flower petals look a lot like the thumb print because that’s what they used on it. many scalloped tops are thumbprint stile cuts. This one has a very jagged hand cut top and it’s Oval.
