1945 German Casige Childs Learning Size Sewing Machine Gesch Model # 1449 <br><br>-This is a wonderful Casige sewing machine with a beautiful bright red color. It is marked Casige Made in Germany "British Zone" on the sew plate, which dates it as just after WWII. Gesch.M 144<br>-Machine has an enclosed frame which covers the mechanisms, it is an earlier version of this design with only the Casige name and Logo on the frame. <br>-Condition is very good, a wonderful collector piece. <br><br>History;<br>The Allied powers who defeated Germany in World War II divided the country west of the Oder-Neisse line into four occupation zones for administrative purposes during the perio<br><br>-These size machines are not intended as toys, they were designed for children to learn how to sew, &amp; the perfect size for making doll clothes. <br>Era; 1945 <br>Marked; CASIGE Made in Germany British Zone (Gesch.
