Amazing condition Simmons furniture in the Norman Bel Geddes Style. Designed in the wave or pressed and folded metal style. Beginning in the 1920s, Simmons manufactured metal furniture largely for hotels, hospitals, institutions, etc. Simmons contracted the legendary Norman Bel Geddes to design furniture for them in the 1930s, and this graceful desk with waterfall edges is one example of that collaboration. This is a work of American history art.
Tag of authenticity is lost. Has no dings; some paint stripper or sanding will make it almost pristine. The legs come off for shipping. As-is.
