COOLEY World War I US Army Officer Commission 128th Field Artillery ATF Prohibition<br><br>You're looking at a rare piece of history!&nbsp;<br><br>This is an antique US Army military commission document for Charles Foster Cooley. The document was attached to what appears to be a piece of construction paper. On the reverse side are newspaper clippings from 1918.<br><br>He was appointed to the rank of Corporal of the 128th Field Artillery.&nbsp;<br><br>Charles F Cooley was in the 128th Field Artillery of the US Army. He also served in the Spanish American War.<br>After the US entered WWI, the 1st Field Artillery Regiment was redesignated as the 128th Field Artillery in Oct 1917.<br><br>The Regiment trained at Camp Doniphan in OK and then went to France.<br><br>After WWI, Cooley joined the ATF in April 1922 and served as a Prohibition Agent.<br>The Prohibition era lasted from 1920 to 1933 - it banned the sales and production of alcoholic beverages in the US.<br><br>This document is such a cool, unique piece of US history!
