Considered one of America's most beautiful coinage designs, this Standing Liberty quarter depicts Liberty standing in a gateway, holding an olive branch and uncovering a shield. The reverse features 13 stars surrounding a majestic eagle in flight.
The original Standing Liberty quarter of 1917 provoked controversy due to an exposed breast and thigh. On subsequent Type II issues Liberty was covered up in medieval chain-mail. Offered in well-preserved Fine quality. A great addition to any coin collection.
